View of the Eureka Inn - Eureka California

This wonderful 1922 Inn was recently reopened. Can be seen much the same at  518 7th Street Eureka, CA

View of the Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco Ca

Wonderful view of the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. Taken from the corner of Mason and California the perspective in this image is quite wonderful. This photo was taken sometime before 1926 when the Brocklebank Apartments were built just to the left of the hotel.

Then & Now of Honeyman Hardware Portland, OR

Well I didn't quite get the angle right but you get the idea. Pretty intact!

Victorian porch possibly in San Antonio, TX

I'm not sure if this is of a home in San Antonio or sent to someone IN San Antonio but it has some great details.

View of home and furnishings OUTSIDE

I'm not really sure what's going on here but this view has a lot to take in.

Simple Craftsman with a great hang out spot.

Great early view of a very modest Craftsman home. Rockin' it on the back porch.

Fancy barge boards

Though they are a bit obscured by some trees, this home has some unusual barge boards and brackets. Fancy yet simple at the same time.

Second floor mini-porch

A wonderful feature that most homes lack these days anyway are second floor porches! SOMEONE BRING THEM BACK!!! Unknown location. The photo post card was purchased in Spokane, Washington.

Faded Victorian photo

The photo is almost too faded to see but the details are just too great to not post!

Elaborate screened-in porch

If you've got to screen it in, this is the way to do it old school style. Back porch too! Very cool polygonal front facade.

Cabinet photo of new Craftsman home (Spokane Valley)

This wonderful image taken not long after it's construction is most likely somewhere in the Spokane Valley (or at least Eastern Washington). Lots of cool details like the exterior electrical box.

Unidentified WWI destruction

Given the age of the photo postcard I believe this is a WWI era photo. Unidentified location

Architectural Tour of the Inland Northwest

I don't generally put new photos on this site but I have no where else to put these photos I just took on a tour / lighting buying trip from Portland through Eastern Washington, Idaho, and back.

Starting with some cool homes in Kennewick, WA

The 1894-95 Spokane County Courthouse

The 1890 Spokesman Review Building (I have a slight obsession I must admit)

The 1914 Davenport Hotel

The 1931 Fox Theater

The 1916 Central Steam Heat Plant

The 1891 Cast Iron Fernwell Building (with details of the cast iron columns)

Washington Power Plant and falls

Assorted views of Downtown Spokane's cool historic buildings

Oakesdale, Washington

Palouse, Washington (lots of cast iron architecture)

Really cute Craftsman house in Garfield, Washington

The 1886 McConnell House in Moscow, ID

Garfield County Courthouse in Pomeroy, Washington ca. 1900

Columbia County Courthouse in Dayton, Washington built in 1887
