Wonderful image of candy workers in front of the Good Roblin Candy Company. I believe this was in Vancouver. The building appears to be an 1870's or 1880's cast iron facade. Anyone know of cast iron architecture in Vancouver? It's a very old city and was booming earlier than Portland, but I just can't think of a neighborhood that retains anything this old in Vancouver. Bo at www.arcalus.com found a listing for Aldon Candy Co. (Albert j Good, Donald E Roblin, and James H Bruce), candy manufacturers at 125 10th N in the 1905 Portland Directory. Not a Portland address pre or post renumbering. Very unusual.
